GMO and Acrodea establishes joint venture to launch Android apps market /Venture Now

GMO Internet and Acrodea jointly sets up GMO Game Center to operate smartphone game apps market.

GMO Internet stakes 51% and Acrodea stakes 49%. They plan to launch the joint venture at June 1st. With a capital affiliation in 2010 September (GMO accepted allocation of new shares of 630 million yen from Acrodea to become a major share holder with about 20%), both currently co-operate smartphone game platform.

On 2010 November, both launched G Ge by GMO Beta, game apps market for Android providing 110 titles including Sonic The Hedgehog from Sega.
GMO Game Center will become an operator of G Ge to aim acquiring 1 million users accounts within 2011.
